<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermally expandable microcapsule capable of obtaining the thermally expandable microcapsule excellent in a heat resistance while suppressing the aggregation. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the thermally expandable microcapsule includes: a process for preparing an aqueous dispersion medium that contains a metal salt of a group 2-8 in the periodic table having the solubility at 20°C of 0.5 or more; a process for suspending an oily substance in the aqueous dispersion medium, the oily substance containing a polymerizable monomer containing a carboxyl group-containing monomer, a volatile liquid, and a polymerization initiator; and a process for polymerizing the polymerizable monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
