PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel biomarker which can be applied in non-small cell lung cancer diagnosis, in particular, even in early lung cancer diagnosis, since, while SCC, SLX, NSE and ProGRP, besides CEA and CYFRA, are clinically used as tumor markers that can be measured in serum and plasma of lung cancer, NSE and ProGPR are specific to small cell lung cancer and cannot detect non-small cell lung cancer, and, in CEA, CYFRA, SCC and SLX, sensitivity and specificity for detecting non-small cell lung cancer are low and lung cancer at an early stage cannot be detected, so that such tumor markers cannot be applied for use in early lung cancer diagnosis.
SOLUTION: In a method for detecting lung cancer, a lung cancer diagnostic polypeptide including a specific amino acid sequence is detected or measured by mass spectrometry.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
