<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately extract a document file desired by a user in the retrieval processing of a document file on a document database. <P>SOLUTION: A network system S configured as a local network system such as an in-company network in an enterprise or the like includes a document database 10, a retrieval engine 20 of a document file and a data processor 30. The data processor 30 is configured to perform processing to discriminate a document file which is likely to be browsed by a user on a task from a document file which is not likely to be browsed based on retrieval history data of the user for each user, and to perform selection processing to exclude "the document file which is not likely to be browsed by the user" from the calculation object of the degree of matching in the following user retrieval processing.
