<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a display speed in terms of somatic sense of an electrophoretic display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device changes a grayscale of a pixel by a writing operation of applying a voltage to the pixel in a plurality of times. When a display state of a pixel is to be changed based on image data written in a memory, the display device determines whether the pixel to be changed in the display state is under a writing operation or not. The display device starts a writing operation in a pixel which is not under a writing operation, and starts a new writing operation on a pixel under a writing operation in such a manner that after the current writing operation is finished, a new writing operation is started to obtain a grayscale designated by the image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
