摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline compound contributing to improvement of regular arrangement of organic functional molecules that constitute an organic active layer such as an organic semiconductor layer and a light-emitting layer, and to provide an oriented monomolecular film and a method for producing an oriented monomolecular film. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline compound includes a reactive group at both ends. The compound shows anisotropy in a liquid crystal state, and the reactive group at both ends is bonded to an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>substrate or the like, to obtain an oriented monomolecular film in which molecules of the liquid crystalline compound are arranged in a given direction along the substrate. By forming an organic active layer such as an organic semiconductor layer or a light-emitting layer on the oriented monomolecular film, the organic functional molecules constituting the organic active layer can be arranged as desired, and charge transportation characteristics or light-emitting characteristics can be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
