<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus configured so that the heat of an imager or controlling electronic components is sufficiently radiated and an increase in the temperature of the exterior of the device is also restrained. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 1, which is an imaging apparatus using the imager 13 for generating image data upon receiving a subject image formed by a photographic optical system includes: a front cover 4 and rear cover 5 serving as an exterior body; a main control substrate 15 arranged in the front and rear covers and on which the controlling electronic components are mounted; a liquid crystal display unit 22 movably supported on the rear surface part 5a of the rear cover 5; and a plurality of heat radiation grooves 5c provided on the rear surface part 5a of the rear cover 5 and along the vertical direction (Y) in a regular photographic hold state such that their upper ends are open to outdoor air via a prescribed gap e and their lower ends are directly open to outdoor air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
