A method, device and system for transmission processing of media content. The method includes: encapsulating at least one media sample and its metadata, generating a sub-media segment, and forming a media segment with multiple sub-media segments; once a sub-media segment is generated, pushing the sub-media segment to a live broadcast server, so that the live broadcast server pushes the sub-media segment to a client to play after receiving the sub-media segment. With the solution of the embodiments of the prevent invention, the peer to peer delay is reduced and the real-time of the media content processing is improved.
