<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image density measurement apparatus, an image formation apparatus, and an image density measurement method capable of reading a color image by a simple method and suppressing deterioration in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit obtains density information of respective density patches from signals output respectively from a monochromatic density sensor (R)61R, a monochromatic density sensor (G1)61G<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, and a monochrome density sensor (B)61B.
