Provided is an image pickup device which is provided with: a hard tip member (11s); a prism (20) which is provided in the hard tip member (11s), and is positioned, in the optical axis direction, at the rear of a lens for observing an area to be observed; an image pickup element (21), which is fixed on the light output surface of the prism (20), said image pickup element being in the hard tip member (11s); and a substrate (22), which has one surface (22i) fixed to the image pickup element (21), and the other surface (22t) fixed to the inner circumferential surface (11sn) of the hard tip member (11s). The surface (22t) of the substrate (22) is formed in a shape that reduces or eliminates a space between the surface and the inner circumferential surface (11sn) of the hard tip member (11s). |
