The separating assembly (1) has a rotatably supported separating rotor (2) arranged in a housing (3) that includes a separating cage (4) and a cover (5). A closed mantle surface (6) of the cover includes guide elements (7) arranged coaxial to a longitudinal axis of the rotor on a side of the mantle surface turned towards the rotor. The guide elements extend in a radial direction of the cover in sections. A ramp-shaped material flow deflection element (10) extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotor and is arranged at the side of the mantle surface.
