PURPOSE: A color image processing apparatus and a storage medium are provided to reduce the use of color material for forming a color image. CONSTITUTION: A first toner quantity calculation unit(103) calculates the amount of toner which is needed for forming an image by the use of a gradation value of a first color converting unit(101). A second toner amount calculation unit(104) calculates the toner amount for forming the image by using gradation values(C,M,Y,K) of a second color converting unit(102). A first and a second toner quantity counters(107,108) repeats the toner quantity addition process for overall pixel in a page. A toner quantity reduction rate decision unit(105) determines the toner amount reduction rate. |
