PURPOSE: A receiver and a method for decoding received signals in a wireless telecommunication system are provided to increase mutual information by providing improved concept for decoding received signals. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(100) comprises a signal decider(110), a soft information decider(120), and a soft information decoder(130). The signal decider is connected to a soft information decider. The soft information decider is connected to the soft information decoder. The signal decider decides a complex reception value(112) for signals(102) received from a repeater station. The soft information decider acquires soft information(122) represented by the synthesis of first probability figure and second probability figure. The soft information decoder decodes payload data(132) contained by the received signals based on the soft information.
