The method involves perforating a material sheet constituting a sieve by implementing laser cutting of the sheet to differentiate filtering zones (13) and anchoring zones (15) that anchor ribs by reserving non-perforated bands (28) among the filtering zones and the anchoring zones, where the perforations formed in the anchoring zones are different from the perforations formed in the filtering zones. The ribs are overmolded through perforations of the anchoring zones, where the filtering zones are in circular, square, rectangular or oblong shape. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a flat filtering element comprising a sieve (2) a filter comprising a filtering element.
