PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display device with a touch detection function capable of performing touch detection while suppressing an influence of noise.

SOLUTION: A display device with a touch detection function comprises: a plurality of display elements for performing a display operation on the basis of a pixel signal and a display drive signal; a touch detection element for detecting an external proximity object on the basis of a touch detection drive signal; a scan drive unit for performing a display scan by sequentially supplying the pixel signal to the plurality of display elements in a time-division manner and for supplying the touch detection drive signal to the touch detection element; and a touch detection unit for performing touch detection by sampling a detection result from the touch detection element in a cycle shorter than a cycle of the display scan. The scan drive unit supplies the touch detection drive signal to the touch detection element in a touch detection operation period Pt which is different from a display operation period Pd in which the display scan is performed.
