<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication card, a communication protocol, and a communication system for restricting use of the communication card by a third person. <P>SOLUTION: The communication card includes at least storage means for storing first authentication information set in advance and an email address specified by a user. Upon detecting a connection with an electronic device through connection-interface means, the communication card confirms whether the first authentication information is stored in the storage means. If storage of the first authentication information is confirmed and the electronic device has been newly connected, the communication card generates second authentication information and sends an email which includes at least the second authentication information to the email address. The communication card request the electronic device to input at least the second authentication information, and compares the input information from the electronic device with the second authentication information.
