<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous specification of a hierarchical pin code. <P>SOLUTION: In a design support device, a first database storage section 1c stores a first database including each logic connection information of a circuit 2a in a first hierarchy and circuits 2b and 2c in a second hierarchy which are provided in a circuit 2 to be designed. A file creation section 1d traces logic connection type identification information for identifying the type of the logic connection from the circuit 2a in the first hierarchy toward the circuit 2b in the second hierarchy, based on the logic connection information included in the first database, to create a hierarchical terminal code information file 4a. A second database creation section 1e creates a second database of the circuit 2b in the second hierarchy, which includes arrangement information of a cell and wiring information between cells in the circuit 2 to be designed, based on the hierarchical terminal code information file 4a created by the file creation section 1d and the logic connection information of the circuit 2b in the second hierarchy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
