<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel that restrains the spread of the width of a common transfer seal part. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel includes a liquid crystal layer 40 provided between a first substrate 20 and a second substrate 10, a seal part 32 enclosing the liquid crystal layer 40, a transfer part 60 electrically connecting the first substrate 20 and the second substrate 10, a display area and a non-display area in the periphery of the display area. A wide gap area in which the interval between the first substrate 20 and the second substrate 10 is partly wide is included in the non-display area, the wide gap area includes the recessed part on the surface of the first substrate 20 or the second substrate 10, and the transfer part 60 and at least a part 32c of the seal part 32 are provided at the recessed part.
