<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing device in which automatic cut function and manual cut function can be switched easily, and to provide a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The tape printing device includes a print head 7 used for printing on a print tape, a tape cutter 23 which cuts a print tape in the tape width direction, a print/cut button group 42 including a "print with cut" button 43 and a "print with no cut" button 44, and a CPU 81 which carries out drive control of the print head 7 and a cutter motor 25 according to an instruction from the print/cut button group 42. When the "print with cut" button 43 is depressed, the CPU 81 carries out drive control so that printing is performed and then automatic cutting is performed after completion of printing. When the "print with no cut" button 44 is depressed, the CPU 81 carries out drive control so that printing is performed and automatic cutting is not performed after completion of printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
