<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor that efficiently cools a motor drive circuit unit without increasing cost or making a body casing bigger in size. <P>SOLUTION: The electric compressor includes an intake passage 61 provided at a part corresponding to a motor drive circuit unit 101, and through which a refrigerant for cooling the motor drive circuit unit flows. The intake passage 61 is provided therein with one or a plurality of cooling fins 72. The cooling fin is provided with a bent portion 72a into which the refrigerant flowing in the intake passage collides. The bent portion 72a is arranged at a position facing a heat generator 105 provided in the motor drive circuit unit 101. The motor drive circuit unit can be of course cooled down by the heat generator installed in the circuit, which makes it possible to configure the motor drive circuit unit using inexpensive electronic components, thus achieving a small and inexpensive electric compressor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
