A battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode mainly composed of sodium, and an electrolyte provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the electrolyte being molten salt containing anions expressed with chemical formula (I) below and cations of metal, R1 and R2 in the chemical formula (I) above independently representing fluorine atom or fluoroalkyl group, the cations of metal containing at least one of at least one type of cations of alkali metal and at least one type of cations of alkaline-earth metal, as well as an energy system including the battery are provided.
