<p>A device body (1) is provided with a light-receiving device (3) at the upper end edge and a light-emitting device (4) at the lower end edge of a liquid crystal display (2) which is provided as an example of a display unit, and is configured such that the light-emitting device (4) emits infrared rays from the lower side to the upper side of the liquid crystal display (2) which pass through the surface of the liquid crystal display (2) and the light-receiving device (3) detects the blocked part where the infrared rays are blocked off. Hereby an electronic book device can be realized which has a display with high visibility, causes little malfunction affected by ambient light such as sunlight, and provides excellent feeling of use, portability and design.</p> |
