PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more appropriately provide recommendation for a user on plant cultivation.

SOLUTION: An information processing system includes: a sensor for obtaining environmental information on the environment for cultivation of a plant cultivated by the user; an information terminal to be used by the user to input the state of cultivation of the plant; and a gardening management device connected to the sensor and the information terminal via a network. The gardening management device includes: a database in which environments for cultivation and states of cultivation of plants cultivated by a plurality of users are stored; a specifying means for specifying a second plant in the environment for cultivation similar to a first environment and a first state of cultivation of a first plant cultivated by a first user; and a providing means for providing the first information terminal used by the first user with recommendation on the cultivation of the first plant based on the second environment and the second state of cultivation of the specified second plant.
