<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a separation member to contact a pressure roller in a configuration to locate the separation member in a very narrow space of a paper passage part just after a nip. <P>SOLUTION: An abutting member 74 has a tip concealment part 79 at the tip. The tip of a division plate 75 is located within a projection range of the tip concealment part 79. Even if a pressure member facing part 74e of the abutting member 74 abuts on a pressure roller 56 when the division plate 75 and the abutting member 74 rotate integrally, damage to the pressure roller is prevented because the tip of the division plate 75 does not contact the pressure roller.
