<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce a difference in image quality between viewpoints when performing the encoding processing of multi-viewpoint images. <P>SOLUTION: A time code reading part 22L (22R) of a video input part 21L (21R) reads a time code from each kind of image data of a left eye image (right eye image) and supplies the time code to a central processing unit (CPU) 25L (25R). The CPU 25L (25R) controls the start of encoding processing, based on the time code, and starts processing to sequentially notify an encoding processing part 24L (24R) of a picture type when the time code becomes a prescribed value. That is, the picture types in the encoding processing of the left eye image and the encoding processing of the right eye image are synchronized based on the time codes, so as to easily reduce a difference in image quality between viewpoints. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
