<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a client and an administrator of a self-checkout system from being given unnecessary stress. <P>SOLUTION: A self-checkout terminal of an embodiment has a money tray, money detection means, operator detection means and notification means. The money tray is used for receiving money when commodities are purchased. The money detection means detects the money received in the money tray. The operator detection means detects the presence/absence of an operator operating the self-checkout terminal. The notification means provides notification of the money detection when the money is detected by the money detection means.
