<p>An optical connector (1) comprises a refractive index matching member (50) which is interposed between at least the entire surface of an end face (11b) of a first optical fibre (11) and the entire surface of an end face (31b) of a second optical fibre (31) opposing the entire surface of the end face (11b) of the first optical fibre (11), and which matches the refractive indices of the first optical fibre (11) and the second optical fibre (31). In addition, the optical connector (1) further comprises a connection structure (70) which connects the end face (11b) of the first optical fibre (11) and the end face (31b) of the second optical fibre (31) by mutually bringing together the end face (11b) of the first optical fibre (11) and the end face (31b) of the second optical fibre (31) in the optical axis direction of the first optical fibre (11) and the second optical fibre (31).</p> |
