<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid food product capable of exhibiting appropriate hardness, retaining a shaped form and allowing a person to eat the food while enjoying the look of the food; and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solid food product is shaped of materials for the solid food product, gelling with gellan gum, guar gum and xanthan gum as thickners constituting a solid food product gelling agent, and a curing agent constituting the solid food product gelling agent. The gellan gum is preferably deacylated gellan gum. The weight average molecular weight of guar gum is preferably 200,000 to 300,000. Further, the curing agent is preferably calcium lactate.
