PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal management system and method of a hybrid vehicle, capable of more increasing heating performance upon engine stop when the vehicle interior is heated utilizing cooling water of an engine.
SOLUTION: The thermal management system for a hybrid vehicle includes: a heater core; a heat exchanger; a cooling water line circulating cooling water among an engine, the heater core and the heat exchanger; a cooling water pump provided at the cooling water line; and a heat exchange medium line circulating a heat exchange medium between the heat exchanger and each of driving components. Further, the thermal management system includes a bypass valve, which is provided in the cooling water line on the engine side and is controlled so as to be opened and closed by a control device according to the driving state and stopping state of the engine. Upon the stopping of the engine, by controlling the bypass valve so that the cooling water passes through only the heat exchanger without passing through the engine, the cooling water supplied to the heater core for heating the vehicle interior is prevented from being cooled by the engine, after heated by the heat exchanger.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
