<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency illumination system, which interconnects to an alarm unit that detects abnormality such as fire and raises an alarm so as to automatically provide emergency illumination, and which can be also used as a flashlight. <P>SOLUTION: An emergency illumination system comprises one or a plurality of home alarm units 100 that monitor abnormality and raise an alarm and one or a plurality of illumination devices 10 that illuminate an installation area. The illumination device activated with a battery turns the illumination on for a predetermined time period and then turns it off with a short push of a multifunction switch in the normal state. Although a voice message to notify lights-out in advance is output as lights-out time approaches, the lighting further continues for a predetermined time period with a short push of the multifunction switch. A long push of the multifunction switch of the illumination device 10 in the normal state allows inspections to be performed and results to be notified. The illumination device 10 turns the illumination on depending on an event signal content when an event detecting part detects receiving of the event signal, and turns the illumination off with a short push or a long push of the multifunction switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
