A glass substrate comprises a first surface and a second surface. The first surface has an average surface roughness Ra of 0.2 nm or less, and the second surface has an average surface roughness Ra of 0.3 to 1.5 nm. At least the second surface is subjected to chemical treatment through atmospheric pressure plasma processing.
