<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for downloading a firmware, by reducing time loss until all option devices can download a suitable firmware. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises: a first control part for recognizing a firmware suitable for second control parts; and a main control part which is connected with a storage part for storing multiple pieces of firmware and which transmits a firmware to the first control part. When receiving a firmware suitable for either of second control parts from the main control part, the first control part transfers the firmware to the second control part, and if other second control part to be given the same firmware remains, requires the main control part to transmit the same firmware. The main control part, upon receiving the request to transmit the same firmware, again transmits to the main control part the same firmware as the firmware which the main control part has just transmitted to the main control part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
