<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank which maintains a liquid ejection head at a negative pressure, the tank having high reliability and being made compact and inexpensively manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The ink tank supplies an ink to the liquid ejection head for ejecting an ink droplet and maintains the inside of the liquid ejection head at the negative pressure. The ink tank includes: a tank case 1 having an opening in at least one surface thereof; a flexible film 2 fixed to the tank case 1 to cover the opening and forming a liquid storage chamber 3; and an energizing member 4 energizing the flexible film 2 in a direction where the liquid storage chamber 3 is expanded. The ink tank further includes: a plate member 8 fixed to a part of the flexible film 2; and a restricting part restricting the deformation of the flexible film 2 in such a way that a deformation area B of the flexible film 2 is not extended too much in a direction where the liquid storage chamber 3 is contracted, the deformation area B being an area where the plate member 8 is not fixed to the flexible film 2 and being the area which is bend-deformed when the liquid storage chamber 3 is contracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
