PURPOSE: Device and method of manufacturing sealing metal are provided to enhance workability by forming a plurality of columns of protrusions at regular intervals on the surface of a base moving the base by one step and by bending and cutting protrusions to a given size. CONSTITUTION: A device for manufacturing sealing metal comprise a support(10), one or more molds(40,40'), and a press(20). A guide groove(11) for a sealing-metal base is formed on the top of the support in a length direction. One or more long grooves are formed on the lower part of the guide groove at an interval. A mold comprises a plurality of columns of tooth units, which are located on the top of a position corresponding to the width of the sealing-metal base moving along the guide groove.
