The mechanism has an elongated structure (20) i.e. hollow tube, connecting fixation axles of a windscreen-wiper arm. The elongated structure is provided with a slide (21) in which a windscreen wiper motor support is slidably mounted before being immobilized, where the motor support comprises a pad (25) sliding in the slide. The slide comprises projecting edges whose some parts are folded to block the motor support in the slide. The parts of the projecting edges are arranged orthogonal to a sliding plane. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a windscreen-wiper comprising a connecting rod assembly (2) a method for mounting a windscreen-wiper mechanism.
