A device for brewing coffee, tea or the like comprising a beaker (1 ) with an inner cylindrical side wall (8) and a bottom (10) and a filtration plunger (6), which, by placement in the beaker (1 abuts the cylindrical side wall (8) tightly along the periphery and is slidable back and forth in the beaker by the use of a plunger shaft (5), arranged to extend through an attachable lid (1 ) placed on the beaker. Furthermore, the device has a bowl (9), which by placement in the beaker (1 ), abuts the bottom (10) of the beaker (1 ) tightly, and the adjacent part of the side wall (8) comprises centrally arranged coupling means (17, 41 ) for coupling with interacting coupling means (25) on a plunger (6), when said plunger (6) has reached its lowest position in the beaker (1 ). The coupling means (17, 41) comprises a magnet (18) mounted on the bowl (9) and a s therewith co-operating part (25) on the plunger (6). |
