<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce white balance adjustment steps for a display device that performs gamma conversion after white balance adjustment and displays video. <P>SOLUTION: When an input value Xi is greater than a reference value Xy, drive adjustment that satisfies an expression Xo=A1×Xi is performed, where: the input value corresponding to the luminance of an input video signal of each color is represented as Xi; an output value corresponding to the luminance of the video signal after drive adjustment is represented as Xo; the reference value expressing a reference luminance is represented as Xy; and a correction coefficient expressed by a drive adjustment value is represented as A1. When the input value Xi is equal to or smaller than the reference value Xy, the expression Xo=A1×Xi is satisfied when Xi=Xy, and the drive adjustment according to a drive correction value (A2) stored in a nonvolatile memory 140 is performed.
