A method for enabling animation for screen switching and a mobile terminal are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes: setting color values of all pixel points in a first and a second training images, wherein pairwise color values are different; using the color values of all pixel points in the first and the second training images to generate a training sequence according to the conversion rule of each frame of the animation for screen switching; and playing the animation for screen switching between the current image and the next image based on the training sequence. By the invention, the fluency degree of the switched animation is improved and the user experience is improved.
