<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate, in detecting an origin of a focus lens, a direction of an origin position and determine an initial driving direction for origin detection. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: position detecting means that detects a position of a focus lens; origin detecting means that detects an origin position of the focus lens, and control means that determines, in detecting the origin of the focus lens, whether or not the position of a zoom lens driven from a collapsed state in an extending direction (S604) has gone beyond a prescribed position where the origin position is contained in the movable stroke of the focus lens (S605), if it is determined that the position of the zoom lens has gone beyond the prescribed position, sets a driving direction of the focus lens on the extending side (S606) and, if it is determined that the initial position of the zoom lens at the time of origin detection is not in the collapsed state (S603), sets the driving direction of the focus lens in a retreating direction (S607). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
