<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for effectively utilizing fermentation lees which are byproducts in production of fermented products using koji(rice malt). <P>SOLUTION: The method for obtaining sphingolipid comprises removal of impurities from an alcohol extract of fermentation lees, which are byproducts of fermented products using koji, by using a non-solvent of free ceramide; also the method where the alcohol extract is further extracted by alcohol again is disclosed. There is further provided sphingolipid obtained by the method, which contains free ceramide extremely rare in the natural world, in addition human type free ceramide, in a high level e.g. ≥3%, particularly ≥90%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
