<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water closet capable of washing a toilet bowl well while saving water even when the quantity of washing water supplied to a toilet bowl body varies. <P>SOLUTION: The water closet includes: a toilet bowl body 10 having a bowl part 20 and a toilet bowl discharge water channel 30; and a toilet bowl washing apparatus 40. The toilet bowl discharge water channel 30 includes an upward flow channel 32 and a downward flow channel 33. The position of an apex 34 formed at the bottom point of a transition part between the upward flow channel 32 and the downward flow channel 33 is higher than the water level of the seal water stored in the bowl part 20 and the upward flow channel 32 when the toilet bowl washing apparatus 40 supplies a predetermined quantity of washing water to the toilet bowl body 10. In the toilet bowl washing apparatus 40, the quantity of washing water to be supplied to the toilet bowl body 10 varies between a minimum water quantity less than the predetermined water quantity and a maximum water quantity more than the predetermined water quantity. The bowl part 20 and the upward flow channel 32 are formed in such a way that the level of seal water is at least at a specified height H from the top end of an inlet 31 when the toilet bowl washing apparatus 40 supplies the minimum quantity of washing water to the toilet body 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
