<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of housing a molten iron container, which securely prevents scattering of dust such as kish graphite to outside of the building. <P>SOLUTION: The slag drainage building 7 is capable of housing both a torpedo car 1 traveling on a track 6 and a slag carriage 8 and is built so as to cover a slag drainage station 9 at which slag remaining in the torpedo car 1 is drained onto the slag carriage 8. A traveling pit 18 through which the slag carriage 8 can run is laid immediately below the slag drainage station 9, and a dust collector 13 is disposed above the slag drainage station 9. At sides of the slag drainage building 7, entrances 15a and 15b having opening/closing doors 16a and 16b, respectively, are built, thereby enabling the torpedo car 1 to enter and exit the building. Gaps are left beneath the opening/closing doors 16a and 16b in closed states so as to serve as openings 17 for taking air into the slag drainage building 7.
