Vane cell pump for power steering - uses vanes with recesses in faces

The vane cell pump has a rotor driven by a shaft. It carries several vanes in slots which seal outwardly along the path of a curve ring. Recesses (22, 23) are machined into the faces of the vanes (5) lying against the face plates (6, 6A) which on oil ejection are positioned at the level of the relief notches (17, 18). USE/ADVANTAGE - Vane pump for power assisted steering in which the efficiency of the relief notches is improved in order to reduce noise generation.
