METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BRAKING A WHEEL

A method and apparatus are disclosed for braking a wheel of a castor. The apparatus includes a brake plate member comprising at least one brake pad and an abutment surface. The apparatus also comprises a trigger member comprising a rotatable trigger arm having an abutment member at an end region thereof. In a non-braking mode of operation the trigger arm is locatable to urge the abutment member against the abutment surface of the brake plate member to thereby support the brake member in a non-engaged position.
