<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that suppress a short circuit between a cathode and a gate for applying a predetermined voltage to an electron emission element. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device 100 includes a rear plate 12 having the electron emission element 16, and a face plate 11. The face plate 11 includes a plurality of light emission members 17 which are provided in an image display area opposite the electron emission element 16, and irradiated with electrons to emit light; an anode electrode 20 provided on the light emission members 17; a partition member 19 which is disposed between mutually adjacent light emission members 17, and protrudes toward the rear plate 12 more than the light emission members 17; and a first resistance part which is positioned at a part of the partition member 19 opposed to the rear plate 12, and electrically connected to the anode electrode 20.
