<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device with a high degree of freedom of an attaching position to a frame though it is the opening/closing device of a common structure. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing device 10 for opening/closing a sash of an opening device includes an operation member 40 and a drive unit 11. The drive unit includes: a first gear 16 which is turned by the operation member and has a gear tooth surface shape on an outer peripheral surface; a second gear 23 which has a turning shaft not parallel with a turning shaft of the first gear, has a gear tooth surface shape to be engaged with the first gear formed on the outer peripheral surface, and has a female screw formed on an inner peripheral surface; a rod-like screw 30 which is to be screwed with the female screw of the second gear; a moving member 31 which is moved following the rod-like screw; and a connection member 35 which is provided on the moving member and connected to an opening/closing mechanism.
