<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of shortening a cooling initial rising time in selecting a cooling operation, and shortening a heating initial rising time in selecting a heating operation, while contributing on cost reduction by simplifying a mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 13 and a blower 14 are disposed inside of an indoor unit body 1, a supply opening 11 is formed on a front lower section, a top suction opening 5 is formed on a top section, and a front lower suction opening 10 is formed along an upper edge of the supply opening at the front lower section, and an opening/closing panel 7 is disposed to open and close a front section of the front lower suction opening and a front section of the supply opening. A horizontal louver 8 is mounted on the supply opening to open and close a lower section of the supply opening. A control section D controls a refrigerating cycle operation, keeps the horizontal louver at an angle adapting to conditions of an air conditioning operation, and keeps the opening/closing panel parallel to the horizontal louver for a prescribed time from the start of the air conditioning operation, and rotates only the opening/closing panel to retain the same on a full-open position after the lapse of the prescribed time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
