摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material low in an internal resistance, excellent in output characteristics and high in capacity when used as a positive electrode material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material comprises substantially spherical secondary particles that comprise primary particles of a Li-Ni complex oxide represented by general formula: Li<SB POS="POST">1+z</SB>Ni<SB POS="POST">1-x-y</SB>Co<SB POS="POST">x</SB>Ti<SB POS="POST">y</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>(0.10&le;x&le;0.21, 0.01&le;y&le;0.08 and -0.05&le;z&le;0.10) and have an average particle diameter of 1.0-4.0 &mu;m and a size distribution width sd of 2.0 or less. The positive electrode active material is obtained by mixing a Ni-Co complex oxide particles with a Li compound and a Ti compound and firing at a temperature of 690-750&deg;C, the Ni-Co complex oxide particles with an average particle diameter of 1.0-4.0 &mu;m being obtained by roasting a compound containing Ni and Co in solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
