An apparatus for digital printing on articles (3) constituted by containers made of sintered expanded polystyrene, comprising means for the support and advancement of the articles, which beforehand are stacked on each other and arranged on one side so as to form packs (3a). The packs (3a) are sent to at least one first digital printing means (12), which can move axially and at right angles to the advancement means and is arranged above the packs (3a). There is then at least one first drying region which ends with a region for unloading the packs (3a) from the apparatus (1).
