The present invention provides a system and method for Internet search based on a point-to-point network. By setting a search terminal at each search node, the search system and method make the various nodes form a point-to-point network among them. A search request is transmitted to the other search nodes step by step by using a message release and backhaul mechanism in the point-to-point network. In response to the search request, each search node carries out a search on the basis of an index library locally stored at each search node and finally aggregates the search results of the various search nodes to the original search node for it to carry out aggregation ranking on these search results. Such a search system structure and search method have made a complete breakthrough from the architectures of the currently available search systems, and have provided a brand new search system architecture. The problem of the workloads on search engine servers in the prior art has been fundamentally solved. |
