<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a mobile router having a high functionality and a good operability. <P>SOLUTION: A controller that controls a communication mode of a mobile router is provided. A cradle determines whether or not a line termination device that connects the cradle to a fixed line is connected to the cradle. The mobile router is notified of the determination result. Based on the determination result from the cradle, when the line termination device is connected to the cradle, the controller sets the communication mode of the mobile router to a first communication mode where the fixed line is used as a communication line to an external network, and when the line termination device is not connected to the cradle, the controller sets the communication mode of the mobile router to a second communication mode where a wireless communication line is used as the communication line to the external network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
